Westside Football look at the honour boards at the Clubs and this time Claremont.  The rare feat of winning the Club’s fairest and best and leading the goal-kicking are rare honours at a Club. John Parkinson the joint 1967 Sandover winner is the only player to go one better and include the treble, both these medals and the Sandover medal.

Claremont’s little men have a habit of sharing both with Les Mumme starting it off in 1962. Bruce Duperouzel, Lindsay Carroll, Kelvin Allsop also achieved two out of three.  While the little men have had some success the big men have also had some success in Les McClements, Ken Hough and Sammy Clarke won the Sandover and Club’s fairest and best.

Sonny Maffina, Steve Malaxos, Warren Ralph and Norm Uncle won leading goalkickers for the league.
