Tiger Times Magazine May 1980 with a photograph and story on Dalton Gooding. The photograph is of Dalton Gooding and his wife Mardi.
The story is headed “Dalton Gooding, a Tiger veteran”. Gooding has been around Claremont Oval for so long he is considered a veteran although he is only 25 years old. Dalton should be around for a number more years with a target of the 200 club. It was 1973 when the bespectacled student came down from Guilford Grammar, where he was a border, to try out with Claremont. He started in the reserves and finished in the colts that year but with a very strong pre season the following year was more successful. He notched his 100 games 1979 and achieved State selection in 1975.
