The Westside Football’s Stars of 1983 – Steven Goulding.  Goulding played 122 games for Claremont between 1982 to 1987.

This is the second time Goulding is to play in a Grand final for Claremont. He and 19 other Claremont players felt just how devastating a loss in a grand final can be.  At the end of the game they were pushed aside as every one focused on John Todd, Graham Melrose and the victory dais. The star former North Melbourne and north Launceston player has been a valuable player at his WA club in his 2 seasons here and will be a key man in this grand final.

Claremont has turned the table with Melbourne and brought over a star from the VFL clubs. In his milestone he will play his 100th game for Claremont this season.

He has played 95 with Claremont and 5 with North Melbourne.
