Photos and Story behind the large Tiger on display at the Claremont Football Club.

Currently outside the function rooms, on the top of the trophy display cabinet sits this large stuffed tiger.  This has become the official mascot of the Club.

Australia’s External Affairs Minister Sr Paul Hasluck returned from Indonesia 1964 after having talks with the Indonesian President Dr Sukarno.  The Indonesian President then made a presentation to the W.A. Cabinet of a fully grown stuffed tiger.  The tiger was then permanently loaned to the Claremont Football Club where it has been displayed since that date.
