2001 Football budget story by Rod Willet where he interviewed Noel Morton a former Captain of Claremont. Noel played 172 games of league football for Claremont. Morton retired after the 1988 Grand Final when they lost comprehensibly.
Morton was captain of Claremont during 1984 and 1985. He was 27 years but due to a knee injury Morton retired and returned to the farm to help his father and brother.
