In the 1970s a group of Claremont volunteers under the supervision of Arthur Smith looked after the parking at Claremont Oval and Claremont Railway Station yards while patrons went to the Claremont Royal Show run by the RAS. The parking of these vehicles is still happening in 2023 although not on the Oval surface as from this year.
This was an exceptional money raiser for the Club as it looked at organising parking and receiving money for the entrance fees for vehicles. They then took the responsibility of looking at the security of these vehicles. I have placed 4 photos on this lot and further parking photos on Part 1 of the RAS parking.
