Early 1950s Photos and clippings from files kept at Claremont for newspaper clippings.
Photos and articles on this page are:
- “Champions Past and Present”. South Fremantle champion Bernie Naylor on the right made history when he kicked 19 goals on Saturday against Claremont, equalling George Doig (on the left.) feat. Claremont’s George Moloney also kicked 19 goals against Swans in 1940. Moloney was more versatile than either Doig or Naylor as he could star in virtually any position on the field.
- “Versatile Sportsmen” Two well known league footballers Frank Sparrow (East Perth) and John Munro of Claremont preparing for cricket season with the State squad.
- Ken Caporn is having his foot examined to see if he can play in Claremont’s semi final on Saturday.
- An action shot of Miller of East Perth in front of two Claremont players.
