Don Pyke played 54 games for Claremont between 1987 – 1992.  The first story is when Don Pyke was knocked out in the 1992 AFL Grand Final of the Eagles and Geelong.  Pyke after transferring from the Claremont Football Club was a great example of the tough work ethic players were brought up in with the Claremont.  The 23 year old tagger came off second best after colliding with Gary Ablett and was brought from the field on a stretcher.  He returned to the field shortly after, when he convinced the Doctor he was ok.

The second story was a story of the Stars of the future.  It was noted that he had appeared in only 11 league games in 1987 before he was selected to play in the 1987 Grand Final success. The brilliant youngster who is poised to make the 1988 Interstate Team against South Australia will also have a strong impact in the success of Claremont in 1988.

The third story is a player profile on all the likes and dislikes of this quality Claremont recruit.
