1986 the budget photos of “the Tigers Revival”.  Claremont’s performances in the opening two games of the 1986 season has been reminiscent of the Tigers form of a couple of seasons ago.  When Claremont were at their best they relied on midfield dominance and now have arguably the best in the league. Combining the ball getting skill of Steve Malaxos, Stephen Goulding, Darrell Panizza, Cam Shepherd, Peter Davidson and Peter Thorne they are hard to stop.  Photos with the story are of Michael O’Connell one of the most consistent players diving for the ball ahead of Ian Williams.  Also a photo of Noel Morton disposing of the ball ahead of Danny Penny.

2. Succeeding in a new role for Michael O’Connell as he has slotted into the full back position nicely.  He is also able to hold down a number of positions as he displayed in the recent Emu Export Carnival.

3. “Budget Action men 1986 Michael O’Connell.   Michael O’Connell is one of the games under-rated players. He has the capacity to play equally in attack or defence and is always at the bottom of the packs fighting for possession.
