2019, July 8, West Australian, Story and photos “Older heads put Tigers in groove” and photo of Bailey Rogers trying to outpoint South Fremantle’s Daniel Cabassi. It remains Darren Harris’s team but Claremont co-captains Kane Mitchell and Ian Richardson took centre stage in the Claremont Oval changerooms to inspire the Tigers to their best win in the coach’s three year season.  Down by 18 points at half time on Saturday to a South Fremantle team playing well the veteran Tigers urged their teammates to play with greater voice and intensity. Ryan Lim took the call to heart with an extraordinary display in which he laid a couple record of 18 tackles and heard his teammates produce the loudest quarter of their career. We got challenged by the skippers to step up and we couldn’t give up.

Ruckman Jeremy Goddard had 55 hit outs to State ruckman Brock Higgins 35  and had no better moment than in the third term when he won the tap, followed through with the clearance at ground level and opened the way for Ryan Lim to slot the game-changing goal.
