2018, August 31, West Australian, Story and photos “Wise old head has plenty to offer yet ” and photo of Kane Mitchell.  Kane Mitchell feels old relatively . Asked to join teammates in a line-up based on age at Claremont’s pre-season camp , the Sandover medallist eased himself into the middle of the line.  He is in fact the third oldest there after Beau Maister and Ian Richardson.  Now that Maister has retired he is the second eldest. he played his first game for Claremont 10 years ago, so at 28 he does fell pretty old. As Mitchell prepares to play his 100th game in the Preliminary Final on Sunday he retains his record of playing finals in every year he has played at Claremont.
