2018, April 28 West Australian, Story and photos “Orsi and Beers vast impact remembered” and photo of Wayne Orsi and Tony Beers.  Wayne Orsi was so nearly a WAFL President and league coach but instead became a highly valued premiership assistant and developer of young talent. Tony Beers was a knockabout footballer and an outstanding afterhours performer who won two flags for Claremont and captained the Club during one of its most successful eras. Orsi died this week after a three year battle with lung cancer.  Beers died last week aged 55, grew up in Collingwood and his father was part of the 1958 premiership team and his brother Mark played 5 games for the magpies but shifted to Claremont in 1984.
