A top runner and sportsman in his early years he went on to coach and show generations how to achieve fast movement. Parents, sons and daughters went to Murray’s Children’s Shoe Store in Perth Royal Arcade in which he recommended shoes. Austin Robertson senior said that Murray Ward was the fastest man alive. Murray had success at football and turned to coaching at the Claremont Football Club.
