2009, July 2, West Australian, photograph of WAFL players  with Richard Walley who designed these uniforms worn by Toby McGrath (front) umpire Brandon Simpson, troy Cook, Stephen Hill, Lewis Jetta, Casey Sibosado, Daniel Macaulay, Raphael Stack, Quinton Bolton   and Anthony Kyanga.   Richard Walley has designed special guernsey’s for each of the 99 clubs that will be worn in conjunction with the national Aboriginal and Islander Day Observance committee Week which starts on Sunday.

The concept first came from discussions between Walley and South Fremantle Chief Executive Brian Ciccotosco and Claremont counterpart Todd Shimmon about hosting an annual game.  The first game was staged in 2007 with players using uniforms with indigenous themes.
