2009, August, Western Australian photo and story of Lewis Broome.  Lewis Broome won the Mel Whinnen medal last weekend as best afield in the Colt’s Grand Final for Claremont against Peel at Subiaco.  He felt like a movie star when he returned to Looma last week as most of his people saw parts of the game on tv as highlights.  Broome paid tribute to Brett Claudius football development Manager for the Kimberley region and his school principal Paul Eaglestone.  Broome now attends the Clontarf Aboriginal School and is a tremendous role model for other young men in the Kimberley region.
