Three stories on the sacking of Roger Kerr and thte appointment of Simon McPhee. 2008 Western Australian ,March 29, article headline ” McPhee in charge of the Tigers”.  A photo is also attached of Simon McPhee addressing the young Claremont players.  Simon McPhee will have a 15 match job application for the permanent Claremont league coaching position  after having being appointed to replace the sacked Roger Kerr for the rest of the season.  McPhee’s appointment was endorsed by Kerr who stated he could take Claremont into the finals.

Second story is the appointment of Simon McPhee from in charge of the Colts side at  Claremont to take over the league side.  McPhee left Queensland 10 months ago to head to Perth to follow his dream of being a league coach  He was promoted to the league side with the sacking of Kerr.  McPhee is one of the very few coaches of a league side to be appointed as head coach without playing at league level.

The third story is a review of the coaching career of Roger Career.  Ken Venables the President of The Claremont Football Club stated that ‘ there is no onee more passionate or dedicated to coaching than Roger Kerr.  Kerr has given the Club everything but unfortunately we have not gotten the results we were hoping for”.
