2007, November 3, West Australian, Story and Photo “Kerr steps up to Claremont role” and photo outgoing coach Ashley Prescott with Roger Kerr and recruit Djaran Whyman. Roger Kerr’s chances of securing an AFL role improved dramatically yesterday when he was names as Claremont’s coach for the next 2 seasons.  Kerr an assistant with the Tigers for the last 2 years takes over from Ashley Prescott who has been appointed an assistant at Essendon. The previous three coaches at Claremont Don Pyke, Mark Riley and Guy McKenna have all gone on to be assistant coaches in the AFL.   The 46 year old played 86 games for East Fremantle, 16 for Perth and 21 with SANFL team Port Adelaide.
