2006, May 8, The West, Photo and story under headline “Tigers break Bulldogs streak”.  Photo of Claremont’s Anthony Jones taking a chest mark against South Fremantle.  Claremont snapped South Fremantle’s 15 game winning streak with an 81 point win at Claremont.   Before this game the Bulldogs previous loss had been in round 14 last year against Subiaco and they started as favorites against Claremont.  Claremont star Centre-half-forward Anthony Jones was in vintage form  showing all the tricks which helped him to play 82 games with the Dockers.  The 31 year old dragged in 14 marks and finished with 25 possessions and kicked 6 goals 2 points against current squad members Travis Gaspar and Ryan Murphy.

While Jones was a wonder in attack, Michael Warren was extremely strong in defence and others Tom Matson, Simon Nimmo, Aaron Jarvis, Luke Toia, Andrew Taylor and Tim Nelli.  Captain Jaxon Crabb marshalled the Claremont midfield brigade with Rory Walton, Michael Cousens, Clancy Rudeforth and Trinity Handley.
