Football hasn’t always been kind to Claremont’s Adam Taylor.  The diminutive defender has endured just about every type of leg injury during a nine year career, with broken legs, torn hamstrings and various foot ailments restricting him to 74 games.  But the 26 year old’s desire to play has never wavered a trait highlighted by his willingness to be Claremont’s promotional officer even if it meant marketing a team where he wasn’t included.

So it wasn’t just Taylor that was delighted with his outstanding performance in the Tigers win over West Perth on Saturday.  There were plenty of Claremont’s off wield staff that also celebrated for him.  It was the work of pint sized pair Taylor and Rory Walton that proved instrumental in the win.  Taylor used his explosive pace to be an outstanding rebounder from the half back line.

With Michael Gardiner, Daniel Bandy, Darren Harper, David Crawford and Michael Warren  the Tigers had too many talls for West Perth.  Brett Jones was the most influential player with 27 possessions and 11 marks.  David Crawford in strong form kicked 6 goals.
