2006, May 1, The West, Photo and story under headline “Bandy was torn but shines for Claremont”.  Photograph of Clancy Rudeforth reaching above Perth player Kade Lang.  Tall Claremont utility player  Daniel Bandy admitted having mixed up emotions in the lead up to the WAFL clash against Perth.  Bandy was returning to the WAFL Club in an opposition jumper to the Club which helped him launch a 150 AFL career with Fremantle and Western Bulldogs.  Bandy decided to round out his football career with former Dockers team mates at a rival Club, much to the chagrin of Perth supporters.

Michael Gardiner’s tight hamstring meant that Bandy had to ruck most of the game.   Perth looked capable of an upset to the very strong Claremont side.  Other good players were Michael Warren in the ruck, Paul Medhurst, Michael Gardiner, Tom Matson, Jaxon Crabb, Rory Walton, Michael Cousens. Simon Nimmo, Clancy Rudeforth, Michael Warren, Trinity Handley, Aaron Jarvis and Darren Harper.
