Claremont ruckman Daniel Bandy will vigorously defend a striking charge tonight as he attempts to become the third player denied a Sandover medal due to ineligibility. Bandy was charged with striking opponent Llane Spaanderman late in Claremont’s big win over East Perth on Saturday. The matter was referred direct to the tribunal last night as their is no footage of the incident. Bandy has been in outstanding form this year but a guilty finding would see him ineligible to win the medal.
