2004, March 7, Sunday Times, Story and Photo, heading “Devoted Tiger for 70 years”.  Born 1914 and died February 7, 2004 Ben Cook put in nearly 70 years service with his beloved Claremont Football Club.  In 1934 he was recruited by Swans in their inaugural year from Bunbury.  two years later he switched to Claremont and in his first year the Tigers played in the grand final but were beaten by East Perth.  he played 21 league games for Claremont and then got involved in the administration and coaching side. Lorne Cook his son, was also an outstanding player for Claremont debuting in 1959.  Ben then became Past Players President which he held for 16 years.
