2004, June 8, West Australian, Story and Photo, heading ” Marshall mark a sight to behold” and photo of the player Denis Marshall and Denis Marshall and his wife Wendy before being inducted into the AFL hall of fame in Melbourne.  Denis was one of the sweetest movers on a football field in the 1960s and was rewarded for his stellar career with induction to the AFL Hall of Fame last night.  Marshall was jointly nominated by his Clubs Claremont and Geelong and travelled to Melbourne with an entourage that included his wife Wendy, his daughter Natasha and long time Claremont president Wally Maskiell.  He played 175 games for Claremont, 84 for Geelong and 22 State games (14 for WA and 8 for Victoria).
