For the past 3 seasons he has captained Christ Church First 18 in the Alcock Cup and captained the First 11 side. He represented the school in the 400 and 800 metre runs in athletics.
Browne is determined to play football as a career and has according to the Claremont colts coach John Hayes, the ability and drive to do it. His size is his only short coming, however, their are other players smaller than Brown e currently in the AFL.
