2001 Merle Manea is a member of the Claremont’s Ladies Committee. Her father, Syd Henderson was a selector and life member of East Fremantle. She married Dennis and they moved to Bruce Rock for 10 years. On returning Dennis convinced her to support Claremont and they moved back to the Claremont area. Gerard Neesham asked if they could do a player’s tea and that is when the group commenced.
