The Claremont utility player returned to WA after stints at Collingwood and Glenelg.  Venables played 3 AFL games with Collingwood in 1999 and was best remembered for his bone jarring collision with Gavin brown in an intra club match.  Venables was delisted at the end of 1999 with three other players when Mick Malthouse took over at Collingwood.  He is now playing a forward role at the Tigers.  he has combined well with top recruit John Spaull, and established key players’ Myles Quinn and Haaron Bokhari.
