1998, July 27, The West Australian, headlined Story “Lewis sets his goals”.  Also photo of Claremont’s Paul Arvino uses soccer tactics to clear the ball from Luke Hill and Brendon Retzlaff against Peel at Claremont Oval.  Chris Lewis longed to be in the freezing cold at Melbourne, however, he was on Claremont Oval.  Still Lewis would have preferred to be at Victoria Park where Collingwood were hosting the West Coast Eagles.  Lewis gave no indication of that the way he played for Claremont against Peel.  His job is to play football and he is doing the best he can to try and get back in the West Coast team.  Yesterday his performance was a solid performance that was pivotal in staving off the Peel challenge.  With Lewis controlling the midfield through the valued assistance of Jaxon Crabb, Clayton Gardiner and Phil McKenzie.
