1992, March 30, West Australian, Story and photos, “Mitchell will rejoin Tigers”. Essendon reject Kevin Mitchell will be flown back to Perth to play for Claremont in next Saturday’s WAFL season opener. Mitchell drafted by Essendon last November has dropped off the Essendon list 3 weeks ago and is now looking for a transfer with his work in the Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islander’s Commission. The lively half forward was back in town to play for Claremont in the practice game last week and is available for the first game of the season. After a vigorous pre-season with Essendon he is in prime condition to play for Claremont this year. Players impressed Bill Gill, Brendan Hendry, kelvin Holmes, Mark Hann, Adam Clark and Tony Begovich in the trial game.
