1992, August 24, West Australian, Story and photo “Begovich awaits AFL recall”. Also photo of players at season’s end including Phil Gilbert, Brian Beresford, Tony Begovich, Kevin Mitchell and Scott Chisholm. Claremont’s Tony Begovich is happy to see the back of a disappointing 1992 although he is hoping that his season can continue with the west Coast eagles. The bullocking half-forward played a vital role in lifting the Tigers off the bottom of the WAFL ladder when they beat West Perth 15.15 to 12.14.. The young Tigers and coach Gerard Neesham looked to use the skills of Begovich, who has missed most of the past 2 seasons because of a horror run of injuries.
