This article has a photo of John Todd (Swan Districts) and Gerard Neesham  (Claremont) undergoing a stress test prior to the Grand Final.  both passed, however, but the tests could prove inconclusive in the tactical battle of the Grand Final.

Both teams besides brilliant coaches have exciting talent. Claremont has  Tony Evans and Peter Mann. They are supported by Jeremy Guard, Kevin Mitchell and Paul Burton.  As well, established players Geoff Miles, Don Pyke, Darrel Panizza, Kevin Mitchell and Scott Rowland.
