1990, August 17 , Daily News, Photo and Story, “Povey seeks early return “. Claremont could have former State player Grant Povey back with them for the rest of the season. Povey has been unhappy with his lack of opportunities since being drafted by Carlton and is set to return home in a couple of weeks. Carlton agreed to Claremont’s request that Povey be allowed to return and play for them for the remainder of the season. Claremont made the move on Povey this week after Povey was listed as being on the interchange bench for the reserves.
