1989 Tigers Storm home and South Fremantle run out of legs. Claremont won by 21 points to win at Claremont Oval.
South Fremantle kicked the first goal of the final quarter to lead by 21 points and then Claremont kicked 7 goals straight to win. Best players were for Claremont Dale Kickett, Peter Mann, kevin Matchell and Scott Rowland. Neesham left the ground in the first quarter with a recurring hamstring injury and Mark hann who received a serious shoulder injury. Voted best players were Dale Kickett, Craig Edwards(SF) and Tony Evans.
