Three stories in this page of stories from Claremont 1989 folder.

  1. “Dour Swans find nothing much has changed in eye of the Tiger”. Swan District’s coach Ed Blackaby was disappointed but not angry but disappointed they lost to Claremont by 48 points saying Claremont were the best in the competition. Best for Claremont were Kevin Mitchell who booted 4 goals in the first quarter, Peter Thorne who was best on ground, Peter Melesso, Jeremy Guard and Brendan Barrows.  Neesham and Ben Allan both pulled out of the game.
  2. “Mitchell on a winner”. Kevin Mitchell showed his thoroughbred breeding in the win against West Perth.  Kevin had gone away for a couple of years and was just slotting back into the Claremont team and took 14 marks for the day.  Claremont won the game by 80 points and Mitchell kicked goals in the first and last quarters.
  3. “Ralph set to make league comeback”.  Warren Ralph set to return to the league side after a 2 year lay off and kicking 8 goals in the reserves team last week.
