1989 story in the Grand final budget on the Claremont Football Club.  The story is based on Gerard Neesham staying at the top for this season.  he took over the Claremont Football Club in 1987 and has been on top of the WAFL table both his first two seasons.  This is no mean feat for the tigers coach who was a rookie coach and has moulded the Claremont to win 50 of the 63 qualifying games with 2 drawn.

To support Neesham has been President Peter Kyle in his second year, Captain John Scott in his first year and he has used 37 players to get his team right.
