Watching the preliminary final it appeared Scott Rowland and Gerard Neesham were waxing and sharing the ball between them in the 31 point win. East Fremantle kicked 5 goals in 17 minutes in the last term before Claremont were able to thwart the challenge. Scott Rowland played his best game for Claremont in the win.
