A story on a rule by the WAFL on players qualifying to play in the Grand Final when they have also played in the AFL. Due to returning from injuries Peter Higgins played 2 games in Reserves and these have not been credited to his amount of games needing to qualify. This was completely different to the ruling regarding Laurie Keene which allowed him to play in the Grand Final and be the difference between the 2 sides.
Dale Kickett has shaken off poor form and influenza to return to play for Claremont against Swan Districts at Claremont that weekend.
Other players returning are the classy rover Don Pyke, Mal Thompson, Paul Burton, Rob Fitzgerald and Neil Park. Only player missing is peter Higgins.
