1987 Noel Morton reaches the milestone of 150 games for Claemont and ends up playing 150 games during his time at Claremont from 1979 to 1988. Morton came to Claremont from Newdegate which has not produced many footballers of league calibre but Noel Morton certainly holds a place in high standing. He reached his 100th game in his ninth season of league football.  He emerged to be the team’s captain for 1984-85 on the retirement of playing coach Graham Moss.   Morton’s courageous and committed efforts on the field meant he very rarely let the side down.
