Claremont’s resurgence as a football power coincides with the brilliant return to form of Steve Goulding. The former Victorian is producing his best football since 1983 and is one of the driving forces behind the challenge for Claremont to reach the second semi final. Now in his fith year in WA, Goulding played in both Melbourne and Tasmania before Claremont wooed him to WA in 1982.
