1983 ‘Westside Football ” a star of 83 Michael Aitken. Claremont’s Michael Aitken continues to impress as on of the hardest working players in league football. Aitken is having an outstanding season and against Perth when they were in trouble, it was usually Aitken that got them away. He may not be the most brilliant player in the WAFL but no one could ever complain about his work ethic.
Aitken has to overcome some heavy studying commitments on his way to graduating as a doctor and it has been a tough road to survival.
Aitken ended up playing 107 games for Claremont between 1979-88.
