In the 1982 clash between Carlton and Claremont, the VFL premiers had former Tigers’ star Ross Ditchburn in their squad of players. Ditchburn had been drafted to Carlton after returning to his Kukerin farm for the 1981 football season and he was something of an unknown quantity, as far as the VFL season was concerned.
