1981 Player in focus Wayne Blackwell.  One of the big success stories this year is the Claremont centreline and the man in the middle and the new club’s vice captain Wayne Blackwell.  At the relatively young age of 20 and with less that 50 games behind him, Blackwell was the somewhat surprising choice of Graham Moss to be the vice-captain. Blackwell is a strong, hard working type whose ability to win the ball out of centre bounce downs has given Claremont strong impetus and coupled with Moss doing well in the rucks, Claremont can look for plenty of drive from the pivot.
