Normally the second year of a footballer’s career is the hardest. For some the second years blues hits young players, but Claremont full-forward Warren Ralph will face the stiffest test of his career in the 1982 season.  He has been the leading goal-kicker in the last 2 years but this year he has to do it without the aid of the Krakouer Brothers.

In the first 2 practice matches of 1982 he kicked 12 goals, following on from his 127 tally in 1981.
