1981 Budget under photo “Do you remember” Wayne Blackwell. Each week in the budget a photo was put in of a historic nature requesting “Do you remember”. In this week the photo was of Claremont’s Wayne Blackwell, now with Carlton, strikes a magnificent ballet pose as he soars over two rather cautious looking player who took the safe-firs approach as the Tiger hurtled towards the ball.
Prior to transferring to Carlton, Blackwell played 112 games for Claremont between 1978 – 1983.
His son Luke Blackwell, played 117 games for Claremont between 2009 – 2014.
