1980s Two stories on Gerard Neesham “in full charge” and “another Grand final”.

Gerard Neesham played 42 games for Claremont between 1987 – 1989 when he played his last game. He was the coach of Claremont from 1987 to 1994.

1. The first story is on how Neesham has got his side into the Grand Final for four consecutive years.  This year 1990 was his first year as a non-playing coach. This is a review of the year and a detailed list of Neesham’s achievements.

2. The second story is more on the Club and the prospects for the following year.  It lists the other people at the Club, like Lew Mutch (President), Mark Hann (Captain) and John Hutton (Leading goal-scorer). Country players Dale Ballantyne, Paul Burton, Phil Gilbert and Darren Kowal.  Players flourished under Neesham included Brian Beresford, Jason Norrish, Andrew McGovern, Rob Malone, Jeremy Guard, John Hutton, Rob Fitzgerald and Adam Clarke.
