With a large number of Claremont players being drafted to the AFL clubs they still have an impressive influx of talent.  Gerard Neesham has developed a number of players who have moved on like Don Pyke, Ben Allan and Brian Sutherland.  The previous year it was Scott Edwards, Dale Kickett, Peter James and Billy Krakouer.  Four players making their debuts were Brendan Barrows, Tony Evans, Gerard Milne and Peter Mann.  Also Dean Farmer who has returned to the Club.
