Perth too good on day”.  Photo of ruck rover Stephen Curtis attempting to prevent Jim Krakouer from breaking away with the ball.  East Perth 13.13 to Claremont 11.17.  East Perth won by 8 points in a tough league match at Claremont Oval.  It was East Perth’s first win over Claremont since July 1978 and it came 5 weeks after a 102 point loss to Claremont in the Emu Export championships.  East Perth compensated for the advantage in the following division of Moss and David Rawlinson and rovers Jim and Phil Krakouer.  Jim finished with 2.3 and Phil ended up with 0.6.

Claremont full forward Warren Ralph kicked 5.1 in his league debut. Centreman Clay Lewis worked really hard with Dalton gooding and Darrell Panizza winners on the day.
