1979, June 10 The West Australian, story and photo under headline ” Cool play gives it to the Tigers”.  Claremont consolidated themselves in second place and arrested Swans surge with a hard fought win. For the second week in a row Claremont showed great qualities when under pressure.  Hunter was a dominant player in the first half but Besaley improved after half time.  Phil Krakouer was a top rover for Claremont and Graham Moss had a big influence in the ruck.  The injection of young players into the side is paying off with Clayton Lewis one of the best players.  Centreman Lindsay Kanther also shows a lot of promise.  Tim Godfrey played and showed promise.  The rovers were too strong for Swans in Phil Krakouer, Clayton Lewis and Norm Salomons.

Second story that Robbie Melville has shown a return to form in the reserves.
