July 23, 1970 John Inverarity was recruited by Claremont from amateurs to play league. Though he has played limited football since concentrating on cricket he played in the combined Under 16 Football team for Claremont. While at Claremont playing reserves football, he hurt his knee he believes it is a strained ligament but is awaiting tests.
