1964, September 14 the West Australian article ” Astute roving by Parkinson lifts Claremont”.

Also photo of West Perth’s ruckman Ray Boyanich being tackles by John McIntosh with Kevin Clune watching nearby.

Skilful roving by 19 year old John Parkinson in third quarter when Claremont kicking against the breeze was one of the main reasons Claremont won by 3 goals.  He received strong support from John McIntosh, Alan Mycock, Kevin Clune and Geoff Wilson.

Parkinson was brilliant and kicked goals in the 26th and 27th minute of that third quarter displaying all his class and aggression.
