The story suggests the ability of Wayne Harvey to lift his game after half-time was one of the main reasons for Claremont’s victory.  Centreline players Brian Fairclough, Dale Edwards and Keren Guard and ruckmen Allen Mycock and John McIntosh led the way enabling Claremont to win both of these areas.  Harvey kicked 5 goals, three after half time.  Others player well were Les Mumme and Ian Brewer.
